I feel like my journey with weight loss is pretty typical for a lot of guys. In my 20s and 30s, dropping weight was pretty easy. As I moved into my 40s, it started taking a lot more effort… more focus on diet and what I was doing in the gym. But I could manage it and stay pretty close to my goals.
And then 2020 happened. I was someone who found myself working 6-7 days a week, 10-11 hour days. I “ate my feelings” during the day and drank a little more than I should have at night. The joke of the “COVID 20” was funny… until it became real and that number kept growing.
In 2024, I hit my heaviest weight. And honestly, I was a number I never thought I’d hit. For months, I went back to tried-and-true weight loss methods. But weight training, cardio, calorie deficits, intermittent fasting, cutting out drinking… nothing was moving the scale. I was becoming incredibly discouraged and really didn’t like how I looked or how I felt.
Early in 2025, I was willing to try something new. I kept hearing about GLP-1s. But I didn’t hear about men taking it. I looked all over and found very little information or support.
For me, a GLP-1 gave me the tool that I was missing. But it was a tool, not a magic shot. Losing 36 pounds (7.5% bodyfat) wasn’t just about the weight, it gave me the confidence I needed. I started seeing better results in the gym. Inflammation in my elbow and knee were gone. I had more energy and more confidence.
I’m here to help, to share my journey and what I’ve learned since those resources weren’t available to me. And more importantly, breakdown and destroy the stigma that a GLP-1 isn’t for men. This is not about a quick fix, it is about taking control of your life and becoming the healthiest, happiest version of yourself. Let’s do this together!
